Christos is the Founder & Managing Partner of Iliad Partners. He is a VC investor and former tech entrepreneur, angel investor, tech executive, and management consultant with 25+ years of experience in the US, Europe, and MENA.

With Iliad Partners, he has actively been making VC investments in MENA since 2016, focusing on early-stage B2B tech startups. Founded in 2016 by Christos and Omar Al-Madhi, Iliad Partners was an early contributor to MENA’s startup ecosystem and an early investor in regional success stories such as Trukker.
Christos brings over 25 years of global investment and operating experience across venture capital, technology business development, entrepreneurship, and management consulting. He has spent the past 17 years in the UAE, after living in Boston, New York, Washington D.C., and Athens, Greece earlier in his career.
Before Iliad Partners, he was Head of Business Development at Yahoo! in Dubai, where he led strategic partnerships and tech deal-making following Yahoo’s acquisition of Maktoob, MENA’s largest internet portal at the time.
Before that, he was an Engagement Manager with the Telecom, Media & Technology (TMT) practice of Booz & Company (now Strategy&), advising Boards and C-suite executives at telecom groups, investment firms, and SWFs across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia on strategy, corporate development, M&A, strategic investments, and digital ventures.
As a tech entrepreneur and operator, Christos has co-founded and exited multiple startups, including GlamBox (Dubai), SloanGear (Boston), and was previously involved in Upstream (Athens) and govWorks (New York).
He was a Founding Board Member of the Middle East Venture Capital Association (MEVCA) and the Hellenic Business Council (HBC) of the UAE. He also serves on the boards of the MIT Alumni Club of the UAE and several startups, and on the Selection Committee of Hub71. He is also a mentor with Endeavor UAE and Greece, and was a Founding Advisory Board Member of MAGNiTT, the Pitchbook of the Middle East, a pioneer in data and research on MENA's VC ecosystem.
Christos holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in International Relations from the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University.
