Dalal is a Partner with Iliad Partners, which she joined in 2022. With 12+ years of experience as a startup founder, angel investor, VC investor for her family office, and in digital marketing and branding, Dalal has been an active contributor and early enabler of the development of the Saudi startup ecosystem as an investor, operator, mentor, and advisor.

 

Dalal leads Iliad Partners’ investment initiatives and ecosystem engagement in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on cultivating relationships with the startup community and key stakeholders, including incubators, accelerators, angel networks, government authorities, and our co-investment network. Dalal is responsible for sourcing and screening for top founders, startups, and deal flow in Saudi Arabia and supporting our portfolio in that key market post-investment.

 

She sits on the Board of Endeavor Saudi Arabia (a preeminent global entrepreneurship organization) and previously on the Boards of OQAL (Saudi Arabia’s leading angel network) and the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation.

 

Dalal has been investing in early-stage VC opportunities in the MENA region for the past 7 years as an active angel investor and while co-managing the VC platform of Masarrah Investment Company, where she successfully set in place Masarrah’s VC strategy and helped lead its launch and execution of investments. She also led the group’s business development efforts by partnering and investing with regional and global VCs and securing a pipeline for direct investments. 

 

She is also the Co-Founder of The Local Agency, a leading Saudi-based branding and marketing firm, which she launched in 2015 as an entrepreneur.

Dalal holds a bachelor’s degree from Parson School of Design New School in Paris, France, in Design Management and an Associate of Arts in Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, California.

Dalal is a native speaker of Arabic and speaks English and French fluently.
